Marlisa Rader, LAMFT, earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University in Kansas. She has been licensed in Arizona for ten years and is currently working toward independent licensure. Marlisa has experience working with couples, families, children, and adults through a trauma-informed lens and believes that every person has the potential to live a happy and healthy life, despite past and present challenges. Marlisa is certified in Trauma, White Bison Wellbriety and Strengthening Families.
Marlisa has helped several individuals and families address relational conflict, grief and loss, substance abuse, trauma, depression and anxiety, and other difficult life transitions. She utilizes a systemic approach with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and values the therapeutic relationship above all interventions. Marlisa is supportive, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive while promoting self-reflection and awareness. She aims to make the therapeutic process both beneficial and enjoyable.
