Allison MacDonald, LISAC, CCST-A received her Master of Science degree in Addiction Counseling through Grand Canyon University. Allison has obtained a certificate as a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for Addiction. Allison utilizes these skills to help individuals work through past traumatic events that may still be affecting them regularly. Allison is originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada but has lived in Arizona for the past 23 years.
Allison works well with anyone facing substance use issues, as well as those working through the issues that so often are created from substance use. She has worked with varying ages and backgrounds: adolescents, people with criminal justice involvement, and also clients new to therapy. Allison is committed to working with all individuals and is an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community. Her focus is to plant a seed of hope and possibility!
Allison believes that all clients have the potential to grow from their current situation. She believes in helping those that seek assistance. Allison believes that having a safe and supportive space can be an element of change in others. She believes that her role in the process is to nurture new growth, however big or small!
